Acceptable Use Policy

Effective 2026-10-05

Article 1 (Purpose)

This policy defines what may and may not be done with instances provided by the E.D.1.T.H service. It is part of the Terms of Service; violations may result in suspension or termination under Article 8 of the Terms.

Article 2 (Permitted Use)

  1. Research, development, education, and testing using FPGA/GPU accelerators
  2. Building, simulating, and compiling hardware-accelerated workloads
  3. Installing and running software the customer is properly licensed to use (including EDA tools)
  4. Machine learning training and inference on public datasets and open-weight models

Article 3 (Prohibited Use)

  1. Distributing or transmitting illegal content in violation of Korean law (Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization, Art. 44-7, etc.)
  2. Drug- or sex-trade related sites, violent or hateful content, and material harmful to minors
  3. Hacking or intrusion tools for criminal purposes; creation, distribution, or operation of malware or ransomware
  4. Unauthorized intrusion (including port scanning, brute force, credential stuffing), spam sending, open proxies, and TOR exit nodes
  5. Cryptocurrency mining (unless agreed in writing with the Company in advance)
  6. Storing or distributing infringing copyrighted material; torrent or other P2P file sharing
  7. Infringing others’ intellectual property or trade secrets; circumventing software license terms
  8. Transferring technology or software restricted by export control laws of Korea (Foreign Trade Act) or the U.S. (EAR)
  9. Unauthorized re-leasing, sharing, or transfer of instances or accounts
  10. Interfering with the Company’s equipment or network, or generating loads that degrade other customers’ use

Article 4 (Enforcement)

Upon confirming a violation, the Company may immediately isolate or stop the instance, terminate the contract for serious violations, and forfeit related credit. Statutory obligations to investigative authorities remain.

Reports can be sent to abuse@ed1th.dev; the Company investigates reported accounts and instances and takes necessary action.

Article 5 (Security Cooperation)

Customers must responsibly disclose security vulnerabilities found in the service and may not conduct penetration testing against Company equipment or networks without prior written consent.
